The Marching Practice Instrument (MPI) by Randall May, is the perfect tool for marching percussionist development! The MPI was designed to provide efficient and effective practice options to percussionists that have limited access to full-size instruments while at home, during lessons, or while traveling. Each system features the benefits of reduced sound production while providing the opportunity to practice marching & visual elements together with proper playing technique and coordination. The MPI MAY BASS is available in 2 options: MAY Special Edition or Vic Firth Heavy Hitter. Each version offers the same reduced volume benefits and playing zone focus while providing the user two different experiences.
