The MS5 from Vic Firth is a 17" full bodied marching stick that is heavy in the hands, and provides a massive sound and powerful rebound. The stick features a taupe lacquered surface that runs the full length of the stick. The stick is near-mid balanced, and feels front heavy while playing. The butt of the stick features a shallow rounded surface which allows for easy clearance when performing back-stick phrasing and visuals. The MS5 is best suited for marching applications where projection, warm articulations, and power are needed.
